Building Better Communities for Dogs & Their People.

Easing the Pressure on Rescues

What Is Dog Is Good

Dog Is Good is a community outreach initiative by Untamed Dog Co., created to strengthen the bond between dogs, owners, and the people who care for them.

Through this program, we provide free group training for shelter and rescue dogs and discounted training (10–20%) for foster families, staff, and volunteers working with their own dogs. By combining education, service, and connection, we help local rescues ease their workload, improve adoption outcomes, and build happier, more balanced homes for every dog.

It’s more than training, it’s a movement that inspires kindness, responsibility, and community through action

Why We Do It

We believe that stronger communities create better homes for dogs.

Heavy Loads, Limited Resources
Rescues and shelters carry a heavy load, often with limited resources.

Trainers Making a Difference

Trainers can play a vital role in easing that burden while also guiding families toward more responsible, balanced ownership.

Service Through Action

Service isn’t just about words, it’s about action. This initiative reflects our belief that good works can inspire others to follow suit.

The Bigger Picture – The Good Shepherd Directive

Dog Is Good is part of a larger movement we call The Good Shepherd Directive, a call for trainers everywhere to serve not only dogs, but their communities.

This directive encourages professionals to use their skills to build compassion, education, and accessibility in the world of dog ownership. When trainers give their time, experience, and heart, the positive impact multiplies across shelters, rescues, and homes.

Lead by example to strengthen community care.

Encourage others to launch similar programs in their areas.

Create partnerships that benefit both trainers and shelters.

Build a ripple effect that uplifts dogs and people alike.
